Campus Landscaping Equipment - Part 2

My Project

The LHS ‘ohana have been so resilient this year. Many of their families were victims of the August 8 wildfire that destroyed Lahaina town. They have been impacted in various ways, all processing and grieving differently. Because of the resulting housing crisis many families have moved away. This has led our school’s funding for basic disposable supplies to be drastically cut over the next three years.

I want to buy a new lawnmower for our school’s boarding students and custodians.

The lawnmowers and other landscaping supplies in future projects will be used to replace faulty equipment. LHS is the only public school in the state with a boarding program and these boarding students use the equipment to help take care of the campus as part of their mentorship program. They help with landscape and groundskeeping after school and on the weekends. The school custodians also plan to make use of this equipment for general upkeep.
