Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students with disabilities are learning that their voices, ideas, and perspectives matter. This project supports my coaching of students through College and Career Prep by introducing them to visual storytelling, communication, and real world career skills using kid friendly digital and instant print cameras.

Through guided coaching, students will practice planning, goal setting, teamwork, and self reflection as they document school life, community spaces, and personal interests.

They will explore a variety of career pathways connected to media, photography, design, technology, and creative industries while building confidence, independence, and leadership skills.

These cameras provide accessible, hands on tools that empower all learners to express themselves and develop essential skills such as problem solving, collaboration, and creative communication. By coaching students to see the world through their own lens, I am helping them prepare for future academic, career, and life opportunities.
