My students need the 3-D Skeleton Model, Human Muscular Model and See-Through Sally Human Anatomy Chart Set so they can learn Anatomy and Physiology using visuals and hands on models.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Students in my classroom love to do hands on projects and it enhances their ability to learn. I run an inquiry based Science Class in which the students love to participate and are able to see the real life connections.
Eighty percent of my students are two grade levels below their age appropriate peers and require modifications and project based activities to better understand the curriculum.
My students do not make school a priority and doing projects and using technology sparks the interest of the students and enhances their overall education.
My Project
We are implementing a new Anatomy and Physiology class at Camden High School. These anatomy models will be used in many lessons and will be displayed in the classroom throughout the year. The students will be able to visualize the human skeletal, muscular system as well as understand the rest of the systems.
This project will give my students a full understanding of anatomy using high interest life size models in spite of low reading levels to obtain the same education as their peers around the country.
The students will start learning with the skeleton system in the beginning of the year, then move onto the muscular system while the models remain on display as a visual reference.
