it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students want to learn and many have trauma that they cannot just leave at the front door. I want to give them some physical tools, as well as mental exercises, to help them self-regulate.
Calming techniques will be used all through their lives.
At times, they will face obstacles and how they deal with them are most important. As adults we know that how we face adversity has a lot to do with the outcome.
It is amazing that with so much trauma on young shoulders, they still come in with a smile and a good attitude! I love my students and they know I am on their team - head cheerleader! - and want them to succeed!
