My Project

I teach a group of inquisitive and energetic first graders who enjoy coming to school. They are learning to read, and they love math. Instruction is provided in both small and large groups in my classroom. Whole group reading and math instruction takes place with my students seated on the floor of the classroom.

During our whole group instruction time, I would love to provide a rug in calming colors for my students.

This rug has rows of shades of blue and is divided into rectangles, giving the students their own spaces in which to sit. The rug is incredibly durable and is manufactured for heavy use, so the rug can be used for many years in my classroom. My students would love to have this rug in the classroom, and it will make the classroom a place where students enjoy learning.
