This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many students come into my classroom to take space or regroup. They just need a quiet corner. The tools will be used in the quiet corner of our classroom. The Zen garden will give students something to calm their nerves. The fidgits will give them something to do with their hands. The posters are great to remind students of the different options available to them when feeling overwhelmed.
Creating a calm corner in our classroom will give my students a safe place to refocus and possibly learn healthy or new ways to deal with their day-to-day lives.
The headphone hooks, slips, and calculator slip help organize our classroom in a neat way. Lastly, the cell phone case gives the students a safe, distraction-free place to hold their phones.
