My Project

Every class of students is different, and this year I have found a need for a calming corner more than ever. This is in an effort to keep my students in the classroom to calm down instead of removing them from important lesson and community time. Having a more manageable and effective method to give them a time limit in this calming corner would be helpful.

One of our classroom rules is that if I can't use my self control then I need to take a break, if I were to notice a student needing this, I could just hand them a certain sand timer.

It would be a quick way to give them a time limited break so they're able to re-center themselves and come back to the whole class instruction. A method to store some calming corner items and sensory objects would be helpful as well.
