My Project
A classroom rug is an important learning space in the classroom. A majority of our whole group learning takes place on the carpet. This helps young students not only during learning but also social emotional skills. This rug allows for students to have boundaries in their own space as well as for their peers to feel safe within their own space that is defined for them. When students come together as a class on the rug they develop many skills and connect as a class. This rug will provide daily use for establishing a closer classroom community during morning meeting and closing circle.
