This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are such an inspiration to me each and every day.

My students have specific needs in the classroom that require accommodations to help them with their academics, but more importantly, their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

My students come from many hardships, many live without adequate food in their homes and not enough support at home. School is the only consistency that they have in their lives. My students are bright and loving children who are the ones who teach me each day.

My Project

I was recently funded by Donor's Choose with some amazing resources for my students. Part of the supplies were two bean bag chairs. The chairs were a HUGE hit and I could see the difference with the students as they each took turns sitting in them and how it helped. The students had voiced to me how great it would be to get a few more chairs and have everyone "buddy up" on them during our group time with our clinician.

I saw the positive effect the chairs had on the students and would love to see the whole class be able to sit in a chair at the same time!
