This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that my students like to look at books. They are 4 turning 5 and a mix of general education and special education preschool children. The library is a quiet area where they can go when they need a break, a place to rest, or a place to escape from the other things that are going on in the classroom.

The added benefit of this calming area is that it is a safe place to enjoy books before they are able to read the words in them.

With space at a minimum a double duty bookshelf/seating area is so helpful.
