This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A calming area in the classroom can be very beneficial for students who need some time to reflect or be in a more focused zone after a break. My students are active learners who strive on working towards excellence, but there are times that they need a quieter spot or just some time to think in a more comfortable and calming space.

The envisioned space I'd like to create for my students includes a beanbag chair, a self-awareness mirror, art supplies, and journals to reflect on their emotions or behavior.
