This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a school psychologist who supports many students and provides them with resources to develop healthy coping strategies. During counseling sessions with students, I have noticed that they could benefit from a calming corner that includes sensory tools and meditation cards and posters). This project supports students during difficult moments and provides them with a safe area to practice healthy coping strategies. All students can benefit by using the tools in the calming corner to develop healthy strategies they can use in the future. The calming corner will provide them with a variety of tools that we use during our counseling sessions. I hope this project is funded and helps support the students at my school site!
