Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I support students with different disabilities. In my learning lab I have a small corner where students enjoy going to when they are finished with their work. Students with autism especially enjoy being able to play with games and other items that I have there. I’ve been able to buy these items with my own money, but I would love to provide more sensory items, flexible seating options such as colorful pillows and stacking stools to help support my students’ social emotional needs. The headphones can be used by my students to listen to music that they enjoy, even while working on assignments; it also assists students with dyslexia who have difficulty typing to use speech-to-text tools. My students would greatly appreciate your support; this is an investment in their academic success!
