Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am asking for a small canopy for our classroom, a seating area, books that teach about feelings, sensory balls and fidgets that will help my students deal with their emotions.

This new year I want to ensure that my students have a special place in the classroom to help them understand and validate their feelings.

In a lot of cultures feelings are not validated and sometimes students don't know how to deal with their feelings or understand why they are feeling a certain way. As a teacher I want to make sure my students know that having feelings is okay and that there is ways to deal with the way we feel.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
