This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to provide my students an area where they can use calming tools to refocus their energy when they are struggling with self management skills. Our students would benefit from learning social skills and how to work collaboratively with their peers as they create and design using Lego Bricks . They will learn how to resolve conflict in a safe and appropriate manner by engaging in turn taking while they participate in cooperative play. Students need various ways to learn social skills and learn to effectively communicate their emotions and feelings. My students need a safe and quiet space to be able to use calm and quiet activities to help manage their emotions.
