The requested items will create a safe and inviting atmosphere for all the students I see in my counseling office.
The chimes and drums will be used as attention getters rather than yelling and bells which can negatively effect students with trauma.
My goals for this project is to have items readily available for all the students in my school that creates a calm atmosphere for them to be in to dysregulate and work through their anxiety and big emotions.
My students are special because they are learning how to be self-aware of their feelings and emotions and learning positive effective coping techniques that can help them in all elements of their life.
