Calm Down Corner Space

Help me give my students a relaxing, private space for our calm down corner as well as a way for me to manage how much time they spend there with the visual timer.

My Project

Our school is focusing on emotional regulation this year and each teacher has a calm down corner. We were trained on how to implement this effectively and I want my calm down corner to be a space that can be private as well as relaxing. The tent provides a separate space, away from eyes of peers, to allow them some privacy to cope with hard feelings. A comfortable bean bag chair gives them some comfort to help them relax further. I love this timer because I can mange it through my phone as well as provide any additional soothing sounds my students might need to help them regulate themselves. I have been provided some basic materials and instruments students can use to help them calm themselves, I just need the perfect space for them to utilize them in. Our mascot is the voyager, and this space themed tent is the cutest touch as well!
