Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will utilize each item to help them calm down when they needed a break. The sand timers will give them the opportunity to choose the amount of time they need. They will be able to use various items to relax, hug, breathe and most importantly take a break.

Calming corners are essential spaces for students to use when things at school become overwhelming.

Students come to school with various emotions that can affect their ability to focus, learn and relax.

My students are from a lower socioeconomic status and therefore may not have the adequate space and support to identify, feel and regulate their emotions.
