Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are wonderful. Since the pandemic started, these children have grown up with so much more anxiety. I would love to create a safe place in the classroom where students can go to feel safe and relax and destress.
These items would create several "calming corners" where students can go if they are having a bad day or just need a little time for themselves.
They can sit on cozy pillows, touch calming stickers and watch lights that helps them control their breathing and squeeze away anxiety with the stress balls. The magnetic florescent light covers can help create a calming learning environment.
