My Project

My name is Mrs. Harris, and I teach 1st grade at Rashkis Elementary in Chapel Hill. Our classroom is diverse in interests, cultures, and learning. As a teacher who works with students with varying social and emotional needs, I am trying to create a classroom culture that is calm, inviting, and supportive for all students. For this to be effective, I need visuals for students, a lighting remote for the lamps, sensory support, and comfortable seating. Creating a true calming space can be expensive, so I thank you so much for investing in our students' education and social-emotional health!
