Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Research shows that teaching students mindfulness strategies results in increased social emotional competence. It also leads to overall academic success and well-being as it can be difficult to pay attention when students enter the classroom feeling dysregulated.

This year, I would like to provide my students with an intentional place to practice relaxation and stress reduction techniques.

The tools funded in this project will help my students build resilience by providing them with an intentional space for reflection and relaxation.

My goal is for this station to become a helpful and welcoming space to support sensory needs, self-regulation and overall wellness and healing.
