My Project

The environment of a room sends a message to students: I want my classroom to exude calm and comfort. My students find the fluorescent lights in the classroom to be too bright and overstimulating, and I want to just tone the lights down with the calming blue covers.

My students are so much more focused and invested when I let them choose where they can work, and the benches and rugs will let them have a comfortable space to work and learn.

One of the rugs will go in our classroom library in order to make the space more welcoming and to help create a space we can sit as a classroom community. The second rug will have our benches around it and is for our small group literacy and math instruction.

The products I've selected for my classroom will help my students by giving them a calm work environment and additional seating options to make the best learning choices for themselves.
