My students are intrinsically-motivated, inquisitive, empathic, leaders, and change agents in the making, from the heart of southeast Washington, D.C.!

My students deserve to have access to a great education, filled with meaningful experiences, individualized & personalized learning, equitable resources, and opportunities to gain global perspectives.

My Project

What does it mean to be a critical thinker?

There will be a fostering of a 'maker mindset' within students, encouraging them to critically think and explore while tapping into their creativity.

These ThinkFun games and manipulatives will allow students to develop stronger foundations in logic, number sense, and critical thinking skills. The gameplay alone will help assist in students making connections, observing, communicating, collaborating, synthesizing information, and allowing students to eventually create their own products.

These ThinkFun games and manipulatives will be a part of the first-ever maker space in our school library that will offer our students an opportunity to explore STEAM, their interests, get creative, have access to a plethora of choices to promote engagement and connections while instilling a love of reading.
