My students need graphing calculators to help them reach their maximum potential in math. We have sections of Algebra 2 and Geometry where our students need access to a class set of TI-84 graphing calculators.
My students are special education students who have a wide range of disabilities from behavioral disorders to academic deficits. They are a wonderful and phenomenal group of students who always strive to do their best.
My classroom is a positive place where the students can feel motivated to learn and can gain the confidence needed.
Some of my students have high functioning autism, while my other students have difficulty with reading and writing. I teach a combination of social skills to students with high functioning autism to some wonderful students who are highly motivated to reach their full potential in reading and writing.
My Project
These materials will make an enormous difference in our students' lives by giving them access to graphing calculators needed for Algebra 2 and Geometry. Our school offers these classes in the resource setting for special education students. These calculators will give the students a fair advantage to help close the gaps with their learning in math.
Graphing calculators will help us cash in on reaching our maximum learning potential.
The graphing calculators will give the students the needed visuals to help them better understand the necessary steps when it comes to math like Algebra 2 and Geometry. Seeing these steps drawn out on a graphing calculator will help our students not be so frustrated when it comes to complicated math problems.
