My students are learning disabled students who are very motivated learners. They have difficulty with reading and writing, yet are so desperate to learn the same concepts as general education students. They are a wonderful group of students who care about their success and want to do well. You can see their minds wanting to learn like any other student, yet for them it is frustrating due to some of the learning barriers many of them face. For some of my students, learning English and making connections to the real world can be a difficult task. However, once they understand the content and the light bulb goes on, their attention is forever captivated. My students are ones who make me proud every day. My school is one where the staff is very supportive of each other through trying and hard times. No matter what is thrown our way, our faculty members are always there for each other and always wants the best for everyone. We collaborate together all the time for new teaching strategies.
