My Students

I have 14 students in 7th grade math class, and 104 students in my 8th grade math class. These are some of the most amazing, outgoing, and energetic students I have ever met. I have a mixture of these amazing students. They come from low - income families, some speak a different language, and then those students who are struggling emotionally and physically but they meet their challenges head on. Many of these students struggle solving math problems and need help.

My Project

In my classroom, I have a mixture of different calculators, which is very confusing for students when trying to use the devices. For this reason, I have come here searching for a donor who would be willing to give these calculators to my classroom. With these new calculators, my students can learn how to use one calculator so they can focus their learning on math and not what calculator they will be using in the classroom for the day. These calculators will allow my students to learn how to solve math problems through the use of technology and create a positive experience in their learning.
