Our middle school is a family of students, teachers, and parents that all work together to better our community. At any given time of the year you may see my students on the ball field, or giving in the community in equal parts.
My students are driven and passionate about their education.
So many of them are working towards gaining their first high school credits in my class. They love their school and they love their community.
I'm so proud to be part of the Davis Family and a teacher in the "Most Caring Place on Earth"... Hall County Schools.
My Project
My students need a class set of 30 TI-30XS calculators for science class! Math is the language of science, but E can't equal mc squared, if there is no "squared" button on the calculators we are trying to use!
In my class, we use a lot of math, but unfortunately the kids aren't always able to provide the tools they need.
Although every year I am able to buy a few cheap calculators with my own money, we always end up borrowing before the end of the year because they break - or they can't complete the functions the students need to succeed. It would really help my classroom to have a class set of scientific calculators!
These calculators are actually the same type that are in almost every math classroom the students will encounter through all of Hall County schools. Having access to them here will help build their skills and allow them to work quickly and efficiently.
