This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Live a little" was MY classroom quote as I searched for a way to motivate my under-performing and struggling math students to actively participate and engage in classroom activities.

"Live a little" quickly became THEIR quote as they used it as a reminder to explore new opportunities and let loose in a safe and learning-conducive environment.

My students are so talented and special, but resources and materials are limited at our low-income school. To help them live a little, my students need a little support.

My Project

The daily use of calculators in a math classroom is a given. However, when your class sizes exceed the number of calculators available, some students' learning experience is now at a disadvantage.

In math, we like to take concepts and represent them in as many forms as possible.

We constantly bounce between algebraic and graphical representations, and it is because of this that there is dire need for one-to-one technology in the classroom.

I would love nothing more than for my students to thoroughly master content all while being confident in their abilities to reason, problem-solve, and check their solutions with a graphing calculator that will enable them to dive deeper into mathematics.
