My Project

My classroom is filled with a diverse population of students from all backgrounds which means we have a mix of students who can or can't afford school supplies. This is my 3rd year teaching and every year I have tried to ensure I have extra supplies in my classroom for students who may not be able to buy their own supplies. I love being able to support them and would love to provide each of them with a scientific calculator to use during class.

Many of these students prefer a physical calculator to an online one!

I think it's so close to what their phone is like that it helps them focus and want to do the math. Online calculators often range in how they look and aren't always set to the correct mode every time. I've noticed students tend to be more successful with a physical calculator than an online version. Geometry can be tricky without a trusty calculator!
