This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Please help support my project to supply my students with calculators in the classroom and one for them to take home. Many of my students lack the supplies to be successful in school. With your support, my students will have the help of a calculator to use in their computation work. Many students struggle with their basic math facts, and this in turn, hinders their ability to do more complex mathematical work. Everyone uses a calculator. Please help me to help my students have access to one.

Calculators are almost everywhere, except in the hands of many students.

Students will eventually master their facts, but until then, we cannot allow that to stop them from moving up into more grade-level-appropriate math concepts.
