My Students

My students are terrific kids. Starting the school year is always an exciting time with new materials and new friends. It is always fun to see their faces when I show them class materials and help them prepare for an awesome school year. Middle school kids are wonderful young people with so much energy and potential. We just need to plan and direct that energy to set them up to succeed!

My 7th graders are amazing kids.

They love a challenge and want to do well. My school is a public middle school with over 650 students grade 6-8. We have several students from disadvantaged homes and many that are working hard to achieve big goals.

My Project

By providing scientific calculators for student use, I am giving them a boost up in classroom success. Many of them do not come to class with materials they need, and a calculator is an added expense for families when school supply shopping.

A level playing field makes it possible for all kids to be successful.

If I have a class set of calculators, no one has to share or go without in class instruction. These tools will allow me to open the door for all my students to higher learning in mathematics. We want to focus on application of knowledge and don't want calculations to get in the way of that success.
