This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Imagine a world where unlocking the mysteries of algebra and geometry feels like solving a puzzle with missing pieces. That's the reality for many students who lack access to a reliable calculator. In my Algebra 1 and Geometry classes, a specific calculator is used for standardized testing, and having one at home would be a game-changer for their learning and confidence. These calculators are more than just number crunchers; they unlock deeper understanding, allowing students to visualize concepts, explore complex problems, and grasp the mathematical world properly.

Providing each student with a calculator would not only equip them for testing success but also elevate their learning throughout the year.

In class, they could follow along with demonstrations, practice calculations independently, and tackle challenging problems more confidently. At home, they could reinforce classroom concepts, complete homework assignments, and even explore math beyond the curriculum, fueled by the power of this valuable tool. Your generous donation wouldn't just provide a calculator and paper but pave the way for their mathematical journey, opening doors to confidence, exploration, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
