My Students

Our middle school serves 103 students. All of these students have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. They have lost in-class learning time, and, in addition, they have lost many basic math skills.

These kids are in an impossible situation.

They have a full year of work to complete every year, but we also need to fill gaps. This project will help them do just that.

My Project

High school math requires complex calculations, graphing, and a LOT of number crunching. This is difficult for students who are at or above grade level. During this pandemic, students have been left behind. They are quarantined or masked or in class and then out of class. My students need help.

Graphing calculators will allow my students to learn skills with technology they will use for many years to come.

The TI-84 Plus calculators are the industry standard for math from high school through college.

Very few students have graphing calculators at home. At school, we don't have a full classroom set. Students lost most of a year of practice with these calculators and are now trying to share devices. This does not work.
