By Replacing Damaged Furniture, We Made Safety Our Goal!

My students need furniture that is age appropriate, safe, and damage free.

My Students

My students range in age from 3-5 years old. They attend a preschool in a low-income area of Southern New Jersey. They are eager and love to learn as they prepare for Kindergarten.

I want to give my students the very best, however, funds aren't always available to do so.

My students come to school every day with enthusiasm and look to us as teachers to keep them engaged in learning and their environment safe.

Our school serves as a place the children come to for learning and support. They deserve a comfortable environment, free of damaged materials, as they prepare to become future leaders of tomorrow.

My Project

We are in need of new furniture because our couch and chair have holes in the upholstery. They pose a danger to children as they children may peel the fabric off and ingest the material. We are not able to keep our current couch and chair due to them being a safety hazard.

By replacing the couch and chair in our classroom, we will meet the safety requirements for state licensing.

We currently have a couch and chair, however, unfortunately over time they have become damaged and worn. I am asking for a new, easy-clean couch and chair.

My students love the couch in the house/dramatic play area as they sit and pretend to feed the baby dolls. They use the chair in the cozy area as a place they can go to when they need a break or just to be alone and read.
