My Project

I teach second grade in a Title I suburban school. I am also my school's Botball coach. This is the first year my school has had a team. Our boys are out dated and don't always work. My school would benefit from the Bluetooth programmable Bee Bots. These bots would allow for me to expand our team to students in second and third grades. Currently my school's Botball team is open only to fourth and fifth grade students. Half of my team was made up of girls.

Opening up opportunities for both girls and boys in second and third grade students would allow my students to build skills in programming and coding.

Coding helps girls with academic performance and problem solving. Girls that learn to code are able to improve in educational topics as mathematics, writing, and creativity. My students need the opportunity to explore coding in a fun way with these Bee Bots. Please consider the impact your donations will benefit not only the girls at my school but also the boys for all students second to fifth grades.
