This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This button maker would be an engaging way to get students motivated in class as well as allow students to get creative and make their own buttons.

I will use the button maker to make buttons that allow students to design and create a wearable way to demonstrate and retain their knowledge of Virginia's History.

In 4th grade, we cover over 400 years of history! That's a lot of information to learn and retain! Creating and designing buttons is such a wonderfully motivating learning experience. Being able to wear a button you have personally designed is even more motivating!
