Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to offer them a hands-on experience that fosters a lifelong love of science. We are going to build a butterfly garden. The students have been researching the types of plants butterflies like. By planting the flowers and taking care of the garden, our students will be learning collaboration, teamwork, mentoring, and how to care for live plants, as well as interact with the process of caterpillars transforming into butterflies. We are asking for a large net tent to release our butterflies in.

Our students will get to experience the butterflies up close with the help of the Butterflies in the Classroom kits and netted tents where butterflies fly freely.

Students will get a hands-on experience where they will learn scientific exploration and responsibility. Your donation will change the way my students think about science. Together we can!
