Help me give my students an experience that will be remembered for a lifetime!

I've been a teacher for many years. However, I was very nervous going into this school year teaching 100% virtually. There were too many unknown factors.
I'm fortunate enough to say that I am teaching the most energetic group of 5 and 6-year-old Kindergarten students this year.
The students arrive each day on our virtual platform eager and ready to learn. Surprisingly, I captured their attention on the first day of school. We have now entered our second quarter, and the students remain engaged!
These students have been excited about every lesson taught thus far. I know that it will take planning and additional resources to keep them at this level of interest.
I've realized that Distance Learning can not replace in school, face-to-face learning. However, with the collaboration of school, home, and our community, these students will be successful and continue to have a great year of learning!
During last year's school closure, I submitted a Distance Learning project for my Kindergarten class that was fully funded," Appreciating Life".
My students had the opportunity to witness the life cycle of a butterfly.
Each student was provided a kit that contained 5 larvae, a butterfly house, a poster, and directions on taking care of the caterpillars.
I provided the students with a STEM Butterfly packet, butterfly observational journals, and magnifying glasses.
The students collected data each day. We had weekly Zoom meetings to discuss their observations and findings. Students were encouraged to complete assignments based on each stage of the life cycle of a butterfly. Videos were also posted through FlipGrid!
The parents were very supportive during this entire process. Upon completion of the life cycle, we had a Zoom Butterfly Release Party!
