I have a classroom of eager to learn kindergarteners. They come in each day excited to sing, dance, play, explore and grow together. My class enjoys our time spent in literacy and math workshops. We read, we learn, we share, we relate and we grow throughout the day and during workshops it is their chance to show me how they learn on their own.
Our school is a small rural school and space is limited in each classroom.
For the students to be able to best utilize the materials they need for workshops its needs to be neat and organized for easy access.
A huge goal in kindergarten is for my students to be as independent as possible. This is hard to do with a lack of organization and storage. My students are eager to learn to become independent learners however; our classroom does not have storage to make our centers and manipulatives easily accessible.
Having things in specific spots will ensure that my students are not spending precious time looking for materials.
We need storage bins and organization items that will help my students become independent learners. With these materials they will learn how to find and put away materials by themselves.
