This year we began using a new literacy curriculum. This new curriculum needs some additional materials to ensure students are getting its full potential in phonics, vocabulary and comprehension. The books needed are both fiction and nonfiction and will go with a weekly theme. My students will use these books through whole group reading. In whole group the students are exposed to a deeper analysis of the text. Having a different text each week will keep students engaged and excited for what is to come. This project will help my students and future students develop an understanding and love for reading! These books will support different themes throughout the year such as, kindness, equality, and friendship. Each child will be able to understand and relate to the different themes with the help of these books!
