My Students

Can you imagine having to stay at home 24/7? Not being able to come to school? Hug your teacher? Hug your friends? Play some sports? I know I can't. And yet, that's the situation my students found themselves in last year. We are back in the classroom but find we have missed out on so much. Some students struggled to keep up last year and some found that they excelled in online learning. As a result, my classroom has a wide mix of learners this year from grades 5 and 6.

My students are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative.

They are staying engaged during our online learning and in the classroom. They are working so hard and becoming the leaders of our school.

My Project

The alternate seating will allow me to have small groups working on the floor in comfort. This allows seats to be arranged to make conversation flow naturally and ensures all students are participating in the games.

At the same time, students learn best when they are having fun.

These educational games will allow me to build confidence in my struggling students while making small group instruction fun and interactive. This will help my students fill in the gaps in their learning from when they were working solely online.

Building confidence in learning again is my top priority in the classroom. I can't wait to use these materials to help me achieve this.
