This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the best students in the world! My school is located in a high-need community. Most of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. I have students from all different countries. My wonderful students come to school with a smile on their faces, ready to learn.

Although they struggle with extreme home situations, they often want someone to guide them into learning.

I enjoy coming to work each day and seeing their smiling faces. Some students' home lives are a bit more chaotic, which leads to a high transient rate. Despite the many obstacles that surround them, they love to learn. Quite a few of my students come from unstable homes, so the classroom needs to be the one constant in their life. They need to feel safe and provided for. They are sweet children that want to have fun and learn in a peaceful, fun classroom. I want to make that available to them!

My Project

The "Turn in Your Homework Organizer" will serve as a designated area where students can put their completed homework. The "Magnetic Paper Pockets" and "Magnetic Folder Bins” are organizational tools that can provide specific space to store materials throughout the day so that our learning materials do not get damaged. They will also allow students to access materials efficiently as well as prevent student frustration, allowing for more instruction. Having a method of organization allows students to independently access the resources they need to complete their daily tasks.

My students also need reading comprehension materials to assist during small group instruction.

My students range in reading abilities and I want to ensure I am able to meet all my students’ academic needs. Thank you in advance for your support !!
