My Students

I have the best students in the world! My school is located in a high-need community. Most of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. I have students from all different countries.

My wonderful students come to school with smiles on their faces, ready to learn.

I enjoy coming to work each day and seeing their smiling faces.

Every morning, I am able to greet my 3rd graders and help them learn using centers, investigation, and teamwork.

Some of them grab a book to read and others will work on the computer. They love to have a little free time in the morning to choose an activity they enjoy. I work in an elementary school in Brooklyn, and my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately, many of the students start the year off without the proper supplies and are not exposed to basic simple activities to help them learn their letters and numbers. But they love working in their groups and exploring the materials around them.

My Project

This September we are uncertain of how we will begin the new year school year. When we do enter the classroom, students will need to have their own supplies, to help prevent the spread of germs.

Our students should be able to focus on their learning and not worry about germs.

I want my students to feel safe and stay sanitized when they enter our classroom. I am requesting hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes so we can make sure we are not spreading germs. It's so important for my students to get in the habit of keeping themselves germ free.

Thank you for your help and keeping us sanitized
