I would like an assortment of books to establish a Business reference library in my Business lab. I would also like to have books that students can read for enjoyment and hopefully motivation to become entrepreneurs.
Literacy is a major issue with today's students. I would like to have a "book-centric" approach in my classroom to encourage reading. Reading is still central to education. Education experts state that the inability to read can hamper a child's school success. As high schoolers, this lack of success translates to a high drop out rate.
My job is to be on the lookout for opportunities for my students and present them to my students. I would like to see hundreds of books lining shelves in my classroom. I especially would like to have some class sets of current, well written and interesting books about business, entrepreneurs, how to start a business, and business success stories.
