Hooray! This project is fully funded

Block play is an essential aspect of Kindergarten, but it's not all fun and games. Young children learn best through play, and blocks are a great tool for integrating play across the curriculum. As part of our Kindergarten Social Studies curriculum, we will study and learn about the community in which we live. The students will be talking about reading and visiting different people and places within the community to better understand what makes up their own community. I would like to use block play as opportunity to extend their learning about the community and community helpers. My students would greatly benefit from and enjoy having block play people, buildings, and vehicles in the block center. Through this type of block play, my students will be using social skills, large motor skills, and math skills to connect the block play to their understanding of their own community. Thank you in advance for your donation!
