My Students

This year I will be faced with a variety of students that need all different things in order to succeed. These students are amazing kids and deserve the best that I can give. However, they face many challenges outside of school due to their home life, not being properly medicated, etc.. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning that meets their needs. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day.

This is why I would love to give them the best experience at school, including things that they enjoy doing.

They like to move, be engaged in new and exciting activities, and they love to read and love lots of positive attention. Anything that I can do to help encourage their young, creative minds - - I will!

My Project

The materials that I have requested would be a huge asset to our classroom. This would help the students fully understand how much science and math are used in building these items. I want the students to understand that some of the career choices they are wanting to do later in life, you still have to use the foundation of math.

Students love any time that they get the opportunity to build something using their hands.

While technology is vital in this ever changing world, my goal is to make sure that they don't get caught up in only using an iPad. I want my students to grasp every opportunity possible and being able to include these items in our groups would be amazing.
