I teach four classes of General 6th grade Science and one class of Pre-AP 6th grade science in a blue-collar, high-need community with a large special-education population.

Science is a full-inclusion class, which means that all students participate, regardless of ability. At least half of my students do not read at grade level, and 10% of my 6th graders read at 2nd grade level or lower. My science class strives to be hands-on inquiry, accessible to all students.

A large part of our life science unit is based on cells. These brightly-colored kits will help to guide my students through the concepts of cellular structure and function, in a visual and tactile manner.

Your help will make science accessible to my special needs students, without boring my gifted students. All my kids are special to me, and I thank you for helping me reach them all.
