This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students’ curiosity, enthusiasm, and determination to learn. As a kindergarten teacher to a group of bilingual learners, I see firsthand how eager they are to grow as readers despite the challenges they face. Each day, they work hard to recognize letters, blend sounds, and decode words, and I want to provide them with the tools to succeed.

The resources in this project—engaging phonics games, hands-on literacy activities, and interactive learning materials—will make a huge difference in their reading journey.

These materials will reinforce essential skills in a fun and meaningful way, helping struggling students gain confidence while challenging those who are ready for more advanced reading practice. Games will provide opportunities for teamwork and independent learning, making reading exciting and accessible for all learners.

My goal is to create a literacy-rich environment where every child, regardless of their current skill level, has the support they need to thrive. These resources will help my students develop strong reading foundations, setting them up for success in school and beyond.

What makes my students special is their resilience and excitement for learning. Many are learning English as a second language, yet they show up every day ready to tackle new challenges. With your support, I can give them the tools they need to grow into confident, capable readers!
