Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Fun with fitness for my TK students to develop healthy habits. Transitional Kindergarten students are building the foundation motor skills, coordination, and body awareness that will support both their physical and academic growth. Incorporating structure and unsructured movement into the classroom helps improve focus, supports social-emotional development, and encourages lifelong appreciation for physical activity. Many of my students have limited access to safe, engaging ftness opportunities outside of school, which makes it even more important to provide these expereiences during the school day. By creating a classroom environment that promotes active play, I can help students release energy in a positiveways while also strengthening skils such as balance, teamwork, and perseverance.
