Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a low income, and mostly spanish speaking families, in a underserved neighborhood in austin. We're a tuition-free, open enrollment public charter school preparing Austin youth to attend and excel at top universities. We are building the next generation of community leaders by closing the opportunity gap for our scholars and their families. We achieve this goal by providing high-quality public education, and by equipping students to become self-advocates. Our scholars are from low income families, families who do not have access to technology, and families who struggle speaking,writing,and understanding english.

By helping with my project I will be able to provide an equitable learning environment that incorporates STEAM and academics to children who have never been in a classroom setting.
